General Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions

Pablo specializes in corporate law (including governance) with most of his expertise focused on M&As, acquisition finance, restructurings, and legal advice to investment funds regarding distress situations.

He joined the Firm in May 2018, attracted, mainly, by the innovative capital structure and corporate governance design that the Firm finalized at the end of 2017, which is ruled by a set of very forward-thinking and audacious governance rules –very unusual for firms in our industry (where there generally are no democratic principles or establishment of innovative roles, such as appointment of an Ombudsman, which the Firm has already implemented). It is based on three essential pillars: i) governance through a representative and democratic body, where the partners, through a secret and egalitarian vote (one vote per partner) elect authorities for a two-year period; ii) compensation system (known as modified lockstep) that strongly encourages cooperation among partners; and iii) corporate values that are strictly respected by all members of the Firm, constituting the main source of value generation of the Firm.

Prior to joining Bruchou, Pablo was a partner at Bulló Abogados (2015-2018) and previously, senior associate at the international Law Firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP’s Business Finance & Restructuring group in the New York office (2007-2013).
