Bruchou appoints partners Dámaso A. Pardo and Paula Fernández Pfizenmaier to the Intellectual Property, Data Privacy, New Technologies and Legal Advertising Department. The decision aims at boosting this area of practice with a team of outstanding professional performance, addressing the increasing challenges and needs of clients in their business relationships.
Dámaso graduated from the Universidad Católica Argentina and obtained a Master´s degree in Intellectual Property from the University of New Hampshire – Franklin Pierce School of Law. He practiced intellectual property law in some of the most renowned law firms in Buenos Aires. Dámaso also held the position of President of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), the Argentine Patent and Trademark Office. During this last period, he represented Argentina in the team that negotiated the trade agreements between Mercosur, the EU, Canada, and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). His incorporation to the Firm marks his return to the private sector after the time in the public sector.
Paula graduated from Universidad Católica Argentina, and worked as lawyer in the Intellectual Property Department at a major firm in Buenos Aires for more than a decade. After such period, she became partner and head of the IP area at Randle Legal law firm. Paula has more than 15 years of experience in intellectual property and legal publicity matters and is also regional vice president of GALA (Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance).
Both are recognized professionals in their area of practice, with vast experience advising national and international clients on intellectual and industrial property matters, particularly in contracts and litigation, copyright, advertising and legal marketing.

In addition, at the Partners Meeting convened on July 31st, the Firm promoted Nicolás Nogueira Castellini to partner of the Tax Department, and Juan Antonio Zocca to Expert Counsel of the Administrative Law Department. Nicolás Nogueira Castellini como nuevo socio del Departamento de Impuestos, y a Juan Antonio Zocca como Consejero Experto dentro del Departamento de Derecho Administrativo.
Nicolás specializes in tax litigation (national, provincial and municipal) and tax advice. His designation reinforces the Tax area, which will be led by 5 specialist partners.
On the other hand, Juan Antonio specializes in complex litigation matters, and in Administrative Law advice, in particular in issues related to contracts, public services, hydrocarbons, mining, telecommunications, transport, foreign exchange infractions, among other regulatory matters.
Both started their careers at the Firm as interns at the Information and Training Center, and developed their entire careers at Bruchou.
